We are seeking both a Mystery Knit-A-Long and a Mystery Crochet-A-Long pattern. All proposals are due by Dec. 15, 2018. The finished sample for the chosen proposal must be provided to the Slow Crawl team by Feb. 1, 2019. Patterns will be made available to shops by April 1, 2019 and to all knitters/crocheters May 1, 2019. Designer must be available via social media (FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, Ravelry, etc.) from May 1, 2019 until Sept. 2, 2019. One clue will be released weekly via Ravelry from May 1 until all clues have been released. Last year there were 300+ participants in the Slow Yarn Crawl and 23 shops. This year we expect twice as many as we have almost twice as many shops.

Some guidelines for your proposal.
All proposals:
- Must use at least 2 skeins of yarn
- Should specify weight of yarn
- Should have multiple techniques involved
- Should have a minimum of 4 clues
- Should specify shape, a diagram of the shape would be even better
- Should be inspired by the theme Road Trippin’
- Should be submitted as a PDF if possible.
- Provide the pattern writing and edit any errors before, during, and after the Slow Yarn Crawl 2019
- Be available to answer questions about the pattern before, during, and after the Slow Yarn Crawl 2019
- Be available for social media opportunities and be willing to take photos, share inspiration, and engage with knitters/crocheters
- Compensation in the form of $250 or 20% of all profits from sales of the MKAL before and during the crawl, whichever is greater. After the crawl ends in 2019, the pattern reverts to the designer and all sales revert to the designer.
- Tech editing and pattern layout in line with the 2019 Slow Yarn Crawl pattern layout
- Professional photographs that may be used following the Slow Yarn Crawl by the pattern designer
- Sample Knitting/Crocheting may be provided if desired
