2021 Slow Yarn Crawl pattern from Bazaar Girls!

One Foot In Front of the Other by Kerri Hartman

Kerri got the idea for this hat while walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain a few years ago. That’s how she did it: “One Foot in Front of the Other.” It’s a quick knit that will keep you warm on whatever journey you start, and seemed a good lesson for taking things as they come. The arrow design was inspired by a chart in Mary Jane Mucklestone’s “200 Fair Isle Motifs.”

Skills: Cast on, two-color rib, knit in the round with two colors, increase, decrease.

Difficulty Level: Adventurous Beginner

Needle: US 6-8 (5-6 mm) circulars or needles to obtain gauge

Gauge: 6 st/in and 7 rows/in
