Purly Shell Knit- 2001 A Lace Odyssey
2024 Slow Yarn Crawl pattern from Purly Shell Yarn & Fiber Arts!
This shawl is meant to take us on a trip from the sun to Pluto. We start in space, just outside the Sun’s atmosphere and establish a tab-cast on. Once we pick up stitches and add some stitch markers, we have a 3/4 circle shape. I love the way this shape sits over your shoulders and allows the fabric to drape and stay in place without sacrificing the lace and garter portions.
The garter sections of space alternate with colorful lace sections for each of the planets on our trip to Pluto. Choose 9 mini skeins to accompany your main Space skein or make this comfortable shawl in just 2 colors. It’s your journey into space, so choose your own adventure.
