As a child I watched Stargazer with John Jerkheimer on Public Television Every Friday Night. This little cowl and small headband brings back memories of the cool (at the time) way he sat on the rings of Saturn and the grided plannets that spread out behind him on the program. I mashed the two together in a squishy ringed cowl plus grids of crochet waffle stitch!
I love the rhythm of a good waffle stitch. I hope you do too!
Difficulty Level:
Size: Cowl: 6 inches tall, 33” circumference.
Headband: 1 inch tall, 21” circumference
Yarn: Two skeins Brown Sheep Nature Spun yarn. Each skein is 50 Grams, Sport Weight. 184 yards, 168 meters.
Hook: Size F (mm) for body and Sz G (mm) for beginning chain.
Gauge: 5 st and 3 rows per inch (in pattern)
